MEPS certification

The Australian energy certification ( MEPS - Minimum Energy Performance Standards )
Electrical and electronic products energy consumption performance more and more consumer attention, around the world with the electrical and electronic products energy consumption to seek a certification. Testing & Certification Australia recently carried out in the Australian market MEPS certification. The Australian government's energy requirements include energy label with the lowest energy consumption standard ( MEPS ) two.
All of the following electronic products sold in Australia, forced sales must be added energy label:
* the refrigerator and ice making machine
Washing machine
* dryer
* dishwasher
* air conditioning ( single-phase three-phase mandatory, voluntary )
The following product also needs according to the minimum energy consumption standard ( MEPS ) based control - that defines their lowest energy level:
* the refrigerator and ice machine ( October 1, 1999 onwards, revised in January 1, 2005 )
* the main pressure storage type electric water heater ( October 1, 1999 onwards )
* small main pressure storage type electric water heater ( < 80L ) and low heat exchange type ( October 1, 2005 implementation ( AGO ) reference limits and methods of measurement )
* the three-phase motor ( to < 185 0.73 kilowatt ( kw ) implemented as of October 1, 2001, revised in 2006 April)
* single-phase air conditioning ( October 1, 2004 onwards, were revised in 20062007 and April 1, 2008)
* the refrigeration power to 65 kW three-phase air conditioning ( implemented as of October 1, 2001, revised in October 1, 2007 )
* straight tube fluorescent lamp ballast ( from 1 March 2003 ). Note that except MEPS, ballast also need to indicate effectiveness index ( EEI ).
* straight tube fluorescent lamps - containing 550 mm to 1500 mm and lighting power greater than 16 watts ( October 1, 2004 onwards )
* distribution transformer - 11000 volts and 22000 volts grade 10000 to 2500000000000 volt ( October 1, 2004 onwards )
* commercial refrigerated cabinets ( self-contained and remote control system ) ( October 1, 2004 onwards )
The following products, although it is not included in the mandatory management directory, but the near future must also be consistent with the energy consumption standard and obtain certification, some products have been identified execution date.
* the external power supply ( October 1, 2008 onwards );
* the set-top box ( October 1, 2008 onwards );
* tv;
* home entertainment equipment: ( audio and video equipment ) ( October 1, 2008 onwards );
* cold and hot water drinking machine;
